“My Path to Follow”cji

Not much to see
let alone to follow
just a feeling/guess
leaning grass to find
followed in my mind
the Spirit me to caress
righteousness to allow
till more defined to see;
Sometimes smoothly
others times dangerously
cliffs high over my head
losing sight time to time
especially when to climb
spiritually thus was led
going forward righteously
Gilead’s balm soothingly;
More plain now I see
the path before me there
as it has always been
as I who had to avoid sin
justice/mercy to be fair
all of the evil to flee;
A commandment given
‘Hold to the Path’ always
understanding not to depart
thus now doing our part
in hallowed hallways
then eternally forgiven!
