“Driven
Away”

Someone
came in the night
awakening
the flock to flee
scaring
and frightening them
making
horrible sounds loudly
driven
away are the sheep
only
such a small few remain
thus the
shepherd goes to look
calling
the corners of earth
repent –
come home – come
some no
longer wanting
some no
longer able
driven
away into the night!
