Seeking a road to
escape
knowing it must be
done
the roads are all
watched
patrols going home to
home
scattered gunfire is
heard
thus to river we must
go
the darkness to
protect
down the known paths
single file a rope to
hold
coming to the bridge
yet unable to cross
for broken and wasted
hearing shouts close
shots fired and
screams
too late heard the
cry
servitude the price
to pay!
