“Coyote’s at the Fence”

Yelping and howling each one
circling and baring their teeth
evil in their eyes so yellow
most ignore and turn away;
The coyotes are here to stay
turning from them to allow
climbing fences in sheath
they’ve work to be done;
First to kill the innocent
then seeking larger game
entitled from those in power
going after those unarmed;
Government not to be harmed
criminals will seize the hour
coyotes known by this name
honest citizens now impotent!
